Restrictive Practices & Behaviour Support
A restrictive practice is judged on the paperwork behind it.
Authorisation before use, a daily record of every use, monthly reporting, a reduction and elimination plan, and proof the worker who applied it was trained. This pack is those documents — written for a SIL service, not a hospital.

WHERE THIS GOES WRONG
The practice is usually fine. The record of it usually is not.
01
A practice in use before the authorisation exists on paper
02
A daily log that stops the week after the plan is signed
03
A monthly report nobody owns, so nobody sends
04
A reduction plan that names no date and no alternative
05
No record that the worker applying it was ever assessed as competent

Can I check the quality before I pay?+
Every one of the 15 document titles in this restrictive practices pack is listed on this page — the full contents, not a sample — and you can search it. Open any preview-marked document to see the structure: its headings, its evidence prompts and its approval block.
Is this the same as a behaviour support plan?+
No. A behaviour support plan is written for one participant by a behaviour support practitioner. This pack is the operational layer around it: how your service authorises, implements, records, reports and reviews a regulated restrictive practice, and how it evidences that its workers were trained to do so.
Does this replace state or territory authorisation?+
No. Authorisation processes differ by state and territory and are set by the relevant authority, not by us. These documents give you the internal governance, records and registers that sit alongside whatever your jurisdiction requires.
Will this guarantee an audit outcome?+
No. Your auditor and the NDIS Commission decide outcomes, and no supplier can promise otherwise. What this pack gives you is the documentation and evidence you do control, written so an auditor can follow it.
What is the 48-hour fix-or-refund?+
If written auditor feedback identifies a Standards-alignment problem in one of our documents, send it to us. We update that document within 48 hours or refund your purchase, on the terms set out on our refunds page.
Do I need special software?+
No. They are editable Word files. Add your service details and change anything that does not reflect how your organisation actually works.
