Ethan — the ProviderQMS Assurance & Quality Agent: what he does and where he stops
Ethan

What Ethan does, and where he stops.

Ethan — the ProviderQMS Assurance & Quality Agent — sits beside you in the workspace. He answers a question in plain language and prepares the work for you to confirm. He never decides.

Ask

Ask what a Practice Standard asks for, what evidence a reviewer commonly expects, or what a term means. Ethan answers in plain Australian English and states the limits of the answer every time — what he cannot see, what depends on your circumstances, and when to ask a person.

Prepare

Ethan prepares work; you confirm it. Today that means:

  • The first check — on your first visit as a trialist he offers to run one and shows what it found.
  • The next step — on an item Home has ranked, the action to take and the note to file, ready for you to confirm or change.
  • A cleaner note — a rewrite suggestion for a record you have drafted, in your words.
  • Customised documents — the Library fills your details through every document in one click; Ethan explains what still needs your judgement.

Review agendas prepared from your dates, and follow-up reminders by email on the dates you set, arrive in October.

Where he stops

  • He never issues a verdict on your organisation. There is no score, no percentage, no “ready” label anywhere in ProviderQMS — counts of what needs attention, with the reason, instead.
  • He never decides whether an incident is reportable, or any safeguarding question. Those stay with an authorised person, and the record of who decided is the part that is read later.
  • He is not your auditor and not a legal adviser. An audit outcome is decided by your auditor and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
  • He never closes a sale. If you ask him whether to buy something, he tells you what the kit or the plan contains and hands the decision back.
  • He does not read the internet on your behalf and does not act on instructions found inside documents you upload — a document is evidence, not a command.

What happens to a question

The question you type, and the workspace context needed to answer it, are processed by the third-party provider named in the privacy policy. The answer comes back to your screen. We keep support records so we can answer follow-ups; we do not sell them and do not use them to build a profile of you.

Ask him well: the walkthrough in your first week. Questions about anything on this page: the support form.
