NDIS registration groups: all 38 with codes and audit type (2026)
The NDIS Commission's current table of registration groups, which are the classes of support a provider is registered for, with the audit type each one carries. The groups you choose decide whether your audit is a verification or a certification audit, and which Practice Standards modules apply.

How registration groups work
Providers have registration groups, also called classes of support, specified as conditions of their registration. The groups in an application or renewal determine the type of audit: a verification audit for lower-risk groups, a certification audit for higher-risk ones. If an application includes groups of both types, the provider completes a certification audit.[1] A verification audit is a desktop review of required documents by an approved quality auditor; a certification audit has a Stage 1 desktop audit and a Stage 2 onsite audit.[2]

Groups and Practice Standards modules
Every registered provider delivering higher-risk supports is assessed against the Core Module; supplementary modules apply depending on the supports delivered. The Commission names them by support type: high intensity daily personal activities, specialist behaviour support, implementing behaviour support plans, early childhood supports, specialised support coordination, specialist disability accommodation and supported independent living. Providers delivering only lower-risk supports are assessed against the Verification Module.[3] The Commission's Registration Requirements by Supports and Services document gives the module for each group and is the authority to use when scoping your application.[2] Our Practice Standards explainer walks through each module.
What changed on 1 July 2026
Two classes of support were added to the Provider Registration Rules: 0137, providing an NDIS digital platform service, and 0138, assistance with supported independent living. Both carry a certification audit, and both became mandatory-registration services from 1 July 2026.[4] Existing unregistered SIL providers had until 1 October 2026 to apply; see what happens if you miss it.

How many registration groups are there?
The Commission's table lists 38, numbered 0101 to 0138. Two were added for 1 July 2026: 0137, providing an NDIS digital platform service, and 0138, assistance with supported independent living.[1][4]
What decides whether I need a verification or a certification audit?
The groups in your application. Each group is assigned an audit type, and if the application includes groups of both types you complete a certification audit.[1]
Can I add a group later?
Yes. The Commission describes an out-of-cycle audit as one that may be needed when you want to change the supports and services you provide during your registration period.[2]
Which Practice Standards module goes with which group?
The Commission's Practice Standards page names the supplementary modules by support type: high intensity daily personal activities, specialist behaviour support, implementing behaviour support plans, early childhood supports, specialised support coordination, specialist disability accommodation and supported independent living. Its document Registration Requirements by Supports and Services is the authority for the exact mapping to each group.[3][2]
Is 0115 still used for SIL?
For supports delivered from 1 July 2026, SIL is claimed under 0138; 0115 remains for supports delivered before that date. See our page on the 1 October deadline.[4]
Where do the group numbers come from?
They are conditions of registration under the Provider Registration Rules, specified on the certificate of registration; the Commission's table is the public list.[1][5]
